Project Description

The Enel Peru administrative offices, located in the Paseo del Bosque Building in San Borja, represent a milestone in the development of healthy work environments in the country. With more than 6,200 m² of built area, the project was designed with a clear objective: to place employees at the center, prioritizing their health, well-being, and comfort throughout all stages of the process.

Enel Peru became the first company in the country to achieve WELL Platinum certification, the highest level awarded by the Green Business Certification Inc., under the guidelines of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This recognition certifies that the offices meet the highest international standards for health, comfort, and indoor environmental quality, from design and implementation to operation and maintenance.

What Makes This Project Innovative?

The innovation of Enel Peru’s offices lies in their holistic approach to well-being, integrating WELL criteria across architectural design, material selection, and workplace management.

Key highlights of the project include:

WELL Strategies Implemented

Air and Water Quality

The project incorporates systems that ensure high indoor air quality standards, controlling contaminants and providing adequate ventilation. In addition, solutions were implemented to monitor and improve the quality of water used by employees, encouraging healthier habits within the workplace.

Thermal Comfort and Lighting

The offices were designed to provide consistent thermal comfort and appropriate lighting, both natural and artificial, reducing visual fatigue and enhancing overall user well-being.

Healthy Materials

Material selection followed strict health-focused criteria, prioritizing finishes and components that contribute to improved indoor environmental quality and a safer, more comfortable workplace.

Collaborative and Community Spaces

The architectural design promotes interaction through open layouts, collaborative areas, and shared spaces that foster a sense of belonging and strengthen internal community within the organization.

Impact on Well-being and Organizational Culture

The WELL Platinum certification reflects Enel Peru’s strong commitment to employee well-being. The building not only improves the physical conditions of the work environment but also delivers positive impacts on productivity, satisfaction, and the overall employee experience.

“It is very rewarding to receive the WELL Platinum certification, as it is an important recognition for the company and for our employees, who have always been at the center of the design of these offices, with their well-being and comfort in mind,” said Marco Fragale, Country Manager of Enel Peru.

WELL Platinum: A Benchmark for Well-being Excellence

WELL Platinum certification represents the highest level within the WELL Building Standard, an international system that measures, verifies, and monitors building performance and its impact on human health and well-being. Achieving this certification demonstrates that a project meets rigorous criteria across design, implementation, and operational phases.

Through this project, Enel Peru positions itself as a national benchmark for healthy office environments, proving that investing in employee well-being is key to building more sustainable, human-centered, and resilient organizations.
