NDC represent short and medium-term objectives, usually include both adaptation and mitigation measures and must be updated every five years. Each update must be more ambitious and propose stricter objectives to help the world get closer to the 1.5°C goal.
With the tool NDC LAC, a dynamic and interactive digital platform that allows information transparency, progress and results to be achieved in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

For example, we conducted an updated search in Peru to find out the goals and commitment in “Mitigation” or “Adaptation” and to which sectors the country gave priority. These are some of the results obtained.
