Project Description

Aura Casa Club is the amenities building of the Aura residential development, located within Green City, on Vía Panamá Norte, Panama City. With over 910 m² built, the Casa Club was conceived as the social heart of the community, within a development that promotes life in contact with nature next to a protected natural reserve.

The building incorporates sustainability strategies aligned with the EDGE certification process, including solar panels for the electrical supply of the amenities, motion-sensor LED lighting, rainwater reuse systems for solar-powered drip irrigation, and the use of low-carbon-emission concrete and cement in its construction.

What makes this project innovative?

The innovation of Aura Casa Club lies in applying resource-efficiency principles to a building of intensive community use, which serves as a social gathering point within a large-scale residential development.

The project stands out for:

• Integrating solar panels and LED lighting sensors into a heavily used community amenities building.
• Reusing rainwater for solar-powered drip irrigation systems.
• Using low-carbon-emission concrete and cement, along with heat-mitigating materials.
• Being part of a master plan oriented toward protecting a natural reserve, extending the sustainability approach beyond the building itself.

Project impact
