BBVA is a commercial bank branch located in Peru, with over 865 m2 built, developed as part of the bank's sustainability strategy for its offices and customer service points. The project reflects BBVA Peru's commitment to sustainable construction, recognized by the IFC (International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group) with the EDGE Champion distinction as part of EDGE certification's tenth anniversary.
This branch holds EDGE certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies), which validates minimum savings of 20% in energy, water, and materials compared to an equivalent conventional commercial building. Since 2021, BBVA Peru has also driven the Bono Hipotecario Verde (Green Mortgage), the country's first private banking product designed exclusively for EDGE-certified homes.
The innovation of this BBVA branch lies in extending EDGE certification to the bank's own office network, beyond the green financial products it promotes among its customers.
The project stands out for:
By certifying its own branches under EDGE, BBVA Peru leads by example in its commitment to sustainable construction, complementing its role in driving green financing across the country's real estate sector.
