Project Description

Mambo Unno is the Unno condominium within Mambo, a mega residential project by Líder Grupo Constructor that, together with the Doss, Tress, and Cuattro condominiums, totals 1,206 homes in the El Retablo development, Comas district, Lima. Unno contributes 127 studio, loft, and one-bedroom units across more than 9,461 m² built.

The condominium achieved Final EDGE certification, granted by GBCI, validating that the efficiency strategies implemented meet the minimum savings required by the standard compared to an equivalent conventional building.

What makes this project innovative?

The innovation of Mambo Unno lies in bringing EDGE certification to a compact, accessible housing product, demonstrating that certified sustainability can be integrated at scale in mass-housing developments in northern Lima.

The project stands out for:

  • Reducing energy consumption through low-consumption interior lighting in all its units.
  • Optimizing water use with efficient-flush toilets and low-flow fixtures.
  • Offering community-oriented amenities such as an in-house market, a barbecue area, and a karaoke room.
  • Being part of a larger-scale development (1,206 homes) that multiplies the positive environmental impact of its efficiency strategies.

Project impact

Thanks to its Final EDGE certification, Mambo Unno residents benefit from lower utility bills, while the project demonstrates the feasibility of scaling certified sustainable construction to the fast-turnover housing segment.
