Project Description

Senati is the project behind SENATI's Technological Center at the Independencia Campus, in northern Lima, an educational development with over 10,747 m² built aimed at expanding access to quality technical education for thousands of young people. The campus consists of buildings between 10 and 11 stories tall, equipped with state-of-the-art spaces for technical vocational training.

The project achieved EDGE Advanced certification, granted by GBCI, becoming the first educational project in Peru to reach this advanced tier of the standard, which requires considerably higher savings than standard EDGE.

What makes this project innovative?

The innovation of Senati lies in bringing the highest resource-efficiency standards to technical education infrastructure, a sector where EDGE Advanced certification is still uncommon in the region.

The project stands out for:

• Optimizing the window-to-wall ratio and using low-emissivity glass to reduce thermal load.
• Incorporating reflective paint and roof insulation to lower cooling energy consumption.
• Using LED lighting and high-efficiency VRV air conditioning systems throughout its spaces.
• Installing water-saving fixtures, dual-flush toilets, and low-flow urinals across its educational facilities.
• Prioritizing natural ventilation and lower-impact construction materials.

Thanks to these strategies, the campus avoids emitting approximately 61 tons of CO2 per year, establishing itself as a sustainability benchmark for technical education infrastructure in the country.
