Warehouse 300B is an industrial building located in Parque Logístico Callao, in Callao, Peru, that houses PepsiCo's logistics operation in the country. The building achieved LEED BD+C: Warehouses & Distribution Centers certification at the Gold level, the LEED variant designed specifically for warehouses and distribution centers.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, evaluates a building's performance in categories such as energy efficiency, water use, materials, indoor environmental quality, and location and transportation. The Gold level requires between 60 and 79 points and is one of the most demanding in the system.
This certification is the first of three planned for the same project.
Achieving LEED Gold in an industrial building is a particular challenge: these facilities combine large floor areas, high lighting requirements, and intensive logistics operations. The project demonstrated that high-level sustainability standards can be brought to logistics infrastructure.
The project stands out for:
The LEED Gold certification of Warehouse 300B positions Callao's logistics infrastructure as a benchmark for sustainable construction in Peru's industrial sector.
