Green buildings in Lima, Peru

In Lima-Peru, are increasingly common green buildings that seek to reduce their environmental impact and improve the quality of life of their occupants. Many of these buildings have obtained certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or EDGE (Design Excellence for Efficiency).

These certifications are granted to buildings that meet certain sustainability standards, such as the use of environmentally friendly materials, the implementation of renewable energy systems and the reduction of carbon emissions. In addition, there are municipal ordinances that reward certified sustainable projects with altitude benefits, such as in Miraflores, Surco and San Borja.
